Our Heart Stopper Necklace is handmade with natural materials, therefore colours, level of oxidisation, stone inclusions, sizes of stones, embellishments and some core materials may vary. Our pieces may also show some small tool markings as each piece is hand made.
We do not consider these variations to be faults or imperfections but adding to the unique nature of each piece we create.

The Heart Stopper comes in two lengths, so you can choose where it sits. The 42cm sits high and close at the base of the neck — just above where a classic collarbone-length chain falls — so the heart rests front and centre near the throat. The 56cm falls lower, around the mid-chest, for a softer, more relaxed drop that layers beautifully. Both are finished with the same fine oval-link chain and toggle closure, and either layers well with your other Lanamara pieces.

Over time, gold plated pieces may experience tarnishing or plating wear due to chemicals that the piece has been in contact with or moisture in the air, which then reacts with the metal. This is a natural process and is not considered a fault of the product. Hairspray, perfumes, deodorant and body products can all contribute to tarnishing and plating wear over time so we recommend avoiding contact where possible.
Storing your jewellery in an air tight container and ensuring they are wiped down between wears and storage will help keep tarnishing at bay and extend the length of your plating. -
Our Heart Stopper collection features semi-precious mixed tourmaline — a gemstone named from the Sinhalese for "mixed colours," loved for its natural spectrum of tones. Each hand-etched star is filled by hand, so colour varies gently from piece to piece and no two are exactly alike. Tourmaline is a longtime symbol of love and friendship, which makes the Heart Stopper a quietly meaningful gift.
